DO YOU WANT TO ACT?
It’s great fun making people laugh, a fact of which we’re reminded every time we step out on stage. We are a small theatre company that's built up an appreciative audience over the years and thanks to them, its not only fun but very rewarding. There’s an open invitation for anyone with or without a talent for acting or backstage work to show up and get involved.

NEXT PRODUCTION - September 2012
Coming soon to the Oakfield Centre, Caramba's Revenge. Four elderly ladies have been living together in a cooperative, pooling their pension books and sharing chores. After a mugging, Violet dies, but Marge, Lottie and Doris 'forget' to tell the authorities and leave Violet's body peacefully in a cemetery. However, Violet's granddaughter, Ronnie, arrives from Australia in search of her relative ... Fending off the suspicious Inspector Grubb, the pensioners play out a macarbe mirror of Lottie's crime novel, although, it is completed by Rose in quite a different manner than Lottie had intended...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Next year will be our golden anniversary, even more reason to turn up in support of half a century of making people laugh! 50 years since our very own Thelma Harper set up the company; we think that's time well spent and I'm sure our loyal audience would agree.
COULD YOU BE OUR NEXT GUEST ACTOR?
We're looking for actors who would like to work with us on one production without having to make an ongoing commitment to the Community Players. We are asking:
If you want to try your hand please ring 01384 394349, email us on info@communityplayers.co.uk or come to the Oakfield Centre on a Wednesday evening from 7.45pm onwards.
